MOBILE PHONE INSURANCE - COVER EXPLAINED

Pay As You Go Mobile Phone Insurance provides three levels of cover:

  • Pay as you go mobile phones up to £75
  • Pay as you go mobile phones up to £150
  • Pay as you go mobile phones up to £200


MOBILE PHONE INSURANCE - WHAT’S COVERED?

  • Worldwide Cover for handset and SIM card.
  • Accessories up to £50 per claim: subject to the same incident as the phone

MOBILE PHONE INSURANCE - RISKS COVERED

  • Theft: The cost of replacing the mobile phone as a direct result of theft
  • Accidental damage: The cost of repairing or replacing the mobile phone.
  • Malicious damage: The cost of repairing or replacing the mobile phone.
  • Water or liquid damage: The cost of repairing or replacing the mobile phone.
  • Damage from electrical or mechanical breakdown: The cost of repairing or replacing the mobile phone.

MOBILE PHONE INSURANCE - PERIOD OF INSURANCE

Pay As You Go Mobile Phone Insurance provides cover for one approved claim or a period of twelve months from the start date of the policy, whichever occurs first.

PAY AS YOU GO MOBILE PHONE INSURANCE - TYPES OF PHONE COVERED

Pay As You Go Mobile Phone Insurance is designed to insure mobile phones, which have a primary use for the making and receiving of, telephone calls, SMS text messages and data.
IMPORTANT: Pay Monthly Contract Mobile Phones and PDA type devices are excluded.


WHAT’S EXCLUDED BY PAY AS YOU GO MOBILE PHONE INSURANCE? 

Pay As You Go Mobile Phone Insurance does not cover the following:

  • Loss of the mobile phone.
  • The policy excess of £20 if the claim is accepted.
  • Theft of the mobile phone from an unattended motor vehicle, unless secured in the glove box or locked boot.
  • Theft of the mobile phone from an unattended building or premises, unless evidenced damage was caused in gaining entry to, or exit from, the premises
  • Theft of the mobile phone if it has been left accidentally or deliberately in a public place or a place to which others have access
  • Theft or damage the mobile phone if it has been passed to someone else other than a family member
  • Mobile phones which have not been registered by you with us
  • Any incident which occurs within the first 21 days after purchase the policy or changing the mobile phone already registered
